There are many piano teachers teaching without any credentials. Another words, anybody could be a piano teacher. It is very important  to choose a right teacher with a good background. However, the question is  "How and where ". All the teachers who are accepted by ORMTA/CFMTA  have a solid background with great credentials, so you can rely on. I am ,of couse, a member too.
