We endeavor to expand the music opportunities available to students and to enhance the quality of our community's musical life.
CULINARY DEPARTMENT
We provides our students with information in the nutritional benefits of such consumption as part of the total daily diet. Maintain the highest quality in bread, pastries and dessert cakes with use of organic ingredients.
Director, Chiharu Beverly Klugh started playing piano at age of four, attending Yamaha Music School in Tokyo, Japan. She always performed and participated in many concerts. At age of fourteen, her interest of music was expanding to not only classical music but also toward jazz music field.
She had already passed teacher's grade level when she was fifteen. She realized that music was always her passion and that made her decide to go on to the US to study further more. she studied at Louisiana State University, home of Jazz music, and later transfered to Boston University and Berklee College of Music,studied under Herb Pomeroy, Dean Earl, Mike Gibbs,.
After graduating from Piano, Arranging & Composition major with degree, she moved to Los Angeles, California and worked there as a studio musician-pianist and arranger and taught piano and arranging at music conservatory. After several years of working in LA, she'd got a chance to work in Japan.
While in Japan, she mastered French pastry confectionary and Art of Bread Baking at several schools and earned "Myster Diploma" She feels baking is as sophisticated as music, and be able to find many similarities in between both fields.
In April of 2001, she moved to Oakville, Ontario, Canada. Even after 30years of teaching experience, her ambition and strong enthusiasm toward learning are endless. She is a member of Ontario Registered Music Teacher's Association, Candadian Federation of Music Teachers' Association, and International Association for Jazz Education and US Federation of Musician.
